About Me

Meet Annie

Hi, I’m Annie — and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that my heart lives in the kitchen.
I grew up watching meals bring people together — no matter what kind of day we had, everything felt a little better when dinner was on the table. Over the years, cooking became more than a chore or even a hobby — it became my way of showing love, of slowing down, of making memories.

I’m not a chef or professionally trained. I’m just someone who finds real joy in stirring, tasting, and passing plates across the table. Today, I carry those moments with me into every recipe I share here on Todayum.

Hi, I’m Annie — sharing everyday recipes from my kitchen to yours.

What Todayum Is All About

Todayum is my virtual kitchen — a place where simple, comforting recipes meet everyday life.
You’ll find meals made to be shared, snacks that brighten ordinary days, and desserts that come together without fuss. Every recipe has a story — a craving, a memory, a quiet Sunday, or a busy night — and I share them here with love.

Simple ingredients, warm flavors — the kind of dish that brings everyone to the table.

Think of this blog as a well-worn recipe notebook. One that welcomes you to try new things, tweak them your way, and enjoy the process as much as the result. Because to me, cooking isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection.

Why I Started This Blog

There was a quiet moment — after the dishes were done and the house had finally settled — when I realized just how much joy my kitchen had given me.
Not just the perfectly plated dishes, but the little things: the meals that saved the day, the cookies that filled the house with warmth, the dinners that brought everyone back to the table.

That’s why I created Todayum. To share that joy with others. To offer up the recipes that might one day become part of your story, just like they’ve become part of mine.

A Bit of Family Behind the Food

Cooking has never just been about recipes — it’s about the people we cook for. For me, that often means my son. He’s usually the first one at the table, full of curiosity (and hunger), and his reactions — from the tiniest grin to the biggest “wow!” — have inspired so many of the dishes I share here. Whether it’s testing out a new idea or asking for a repeat of an old favorite, he brings joy and honesty into every bite.
